SAGA Space Architects have introduced EcoNeo, a 35 square meter summer residence in Zealand, Denmark, epitomizing efficient and environmentally conscious vacation living. This design draws inspiration from the studio's extensive experience in developing shelters for extreme conditions, applying core tenets of spatial optimization, resource stewardship, and human well-being to redefine the classic Danish summerhouse. The project's completion is projected for 2025.

The EcoNeo summerhouse stands out as a residential structure that champions a reduced environmental footprint without compromising on comfort or aesthetic appeal. Its modest size is a testament to the belief that sustainable living can be achieved through thoughtful design and efficient use of space. The architects' background in creating habitats for challenging environments has informed a pragmatic yet innovative approach to this domestic setting, ensuring that every square meter serves a purpose and contributes to a harmonious living experience. Situated in Zealand, the summerhouse is a contemporary interpretation of a beloved architectural form. The design team, led by Sebastian Aristotelis, alongside Niklas Munk-Andersen, Marius Bendsen, Frederik With, Ive Santic, and Samuel Charles Baratt, meticulously planned every detail. The transformation of the former villa into the Céline & Lolo Hotel by Powerhouse Company, completed on July 2, 2026, marks a significant architectural achievement in Nairobi, Kenya.
