The AutoCamp Sequoia project, executed by Waechter Architecture, embarked on a significant transformation of an existing RV campground. Situated by the Kaweah River, in close proximity to the majestic Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, the primary objective of this endeavor was to draw inspiration directly from the breathtaking natural landscape surrounding the site. This vision aimed to convert a fragmented assortment of campsites, various structures, and disparate facilities into a unified and immersive guest experience that seamlessly blends with its pristine natural environment.

Central to the design philosophy was the creation of a cohesive connection between the built environment and the scenic natural setting. The architectural and planning efforts focused on harmonizing the entire property, fostering a sense of continuity and integration that had been previously lacking. By thoughtfully incorporating elements that reflect the regional ecology and topography, the project ensures that visitors can fully appreciate and interact with the unique beauty of the area, thereby elevating the overall outdoor hospitality experience.

The reimagined AutoCamp Sequoia stands as a testament to thoughtful design that honors and enhances its natural context.
