The Cantilevered Roof: A Defining Feature

A prominent aspect of the residence is its expansive cantilevered roof, which appears to defy gravity, hovering gracefully above the main structures. This dwelling, envisioned by M2 Senos Arquitectos, draws profound inspiration from the area's iconic “palheiros”—historic fishing storage structures that have gracefully evolved into charming, colorfully striped holiday homes.

The Verdant Residence: A Coastal Haven in Portugal by M2 Senos Arquitectos

Completed in 2025, the Green House, designed by M2 Senos Arquitectos, is located in Gafanha da Encarnação, Portugal. Spanning 3,799 square feet, this residential project reflects the architectural studio's vision for contemporary living while respecting the unique cultural landscape. Ricardo Senos and Sofia Senos led the architectural team, bringing this modern interpretation to life. The construction was overseen by Licínio Martins Lourenço, Lda, with engineering contributions from Pedro Festas. The property notably features products from Geberit, among other manufacturers. The photographic documentation, capturing the essence and details of the residence, was expertly provided by Ivo Tavares Studio.

The architects masterfully wove these elements into the cabin's identity, ensuring that the dwelling not only coexists with nature but enhances the experience of its distinctive qualities.

Sande Cabin: A Fusion of Design and Norwegian Coastal Beauty

Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Randaberg, Norway, the Sande Cabin stands as a testament to thoughtful architectural design that reveres its natural context. Conceived by the renowned Helen & Hard architects, this 112 square meter residential gem was brought to fruition in 2025. The project's genesis was deeply rooted in the desire to establish an architectural narrative that intimately intertwines with the striking features of its location. Specifically, the design was meticulously crafted to engage with the endless expanse of the Atlantic horizon, the formidable and rugged rock formations that gently slope towards the sea, and the pristine, untouched flora that blankets the landward side of the property. Architects Reinhard Kropf and Siv Helene Stangeland, leading the design team alongside Njål Undheim and Håvard Auklend, focused on creating an architecture that not only respects these diverse landscape zones but also accentuates their inherent beauty, forging a powerful and harmonious relationship. The structural engineering was expertly handled by Aanesland Treindustri, ensuring both aesthetic integrity and robust construction.
