Furthermore, Notepad is set to benefit from AI integration, offering writing, summarization, and rewriting capabilities, freely available to Copilot Plus PC users without requiring a Microsoft 365 subscription. Meta has officially launched its updated Ray-Ban smart glasses, designated as the Gen 2 model. These new glasses come with notable improvements, particularly in battery longevity and video recording quality, placing them competitively alongside devices like the Oakley HSTN smart glasses. The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses are now available for purchase, with a starting price of $379.

A key enhancement in the Gen 2 glasses is their extended battery life. Users can now enjoy up to eight hours of continuous operation on a single charge, a substantial increase from the four-hour battery life offered by the previous generation. The accompanying charging case has also seen improvements, providing an additional 48 hours of power, up from 32 hours, and can replenish the glasses to 50 percent capacity in just 20 minutes, a slight but welcome improvement over the prior model's 22-minute charge time.

In terms of camera capabilities, the new smart glasses support 3K video recording at 30 frames per second, 1440p at 30fps, and 1200p at 60fps, with recordings lasting up to three minutes. Furthermore, an innovative 'conversation focus' audio feature will be rolled out, designed to amplify the voice of a speaker during conversations. The device's live translation service is also expanding to include German and Portuguese, enhancing its utility for a broader range of users.
