By proactively structuring a child's surroundings, parents can create a default setting where healthy choices are the easiest and most appealing ones.
Ultimately, fostering positive habits and preferences in children goes beyond simply removing negative influences; it also involves actively promoting and celebrating healthy alternatives. Parents have a unique opportunity to shape their children's tastes and interests by providing abundant opportunities to engage with beneficial activities and foods. This can be achieved by making healthy options enjoyable and by framing them in a positive light, emphasizing their pleasurable aspects rather than presenting them as obligations or sacrifices.
