Embracing the Landscape: Souvinha House – Where Architecture Meets Nature's Serenity

Architectural Vision and Site Integration: A Harmony of Design and Topography

Parto's vision for Souvinha House was to create a dwelling that not only coexisted with its environment but was shaped by it. The design strategically positions the house on a downward slope, allowing it to be enveloped and sheltered by the land's natural contours. This approach ensures a sense of privacy and seclusion, while maximizing views of the sprawling fields and valleys to the east, with the distant silhouette of Senhora da Graça gracing the horizon. The presence of mature oak and cork oak trees on the plot further guided the placement, ensuring minimal disruption to the existing ecosystem.
