China is not only increasing its production of humanoid robots, some of which have garnered public attention through viral videos showcasing their abilities in entertainment and combat, but it also hosts the leading manufacturers of power inverters globally, such as Sungrow and Huawei. The FCC justifies this import restriction by citing "unacceptable risks to the national security of the United States or the safety and security of United States persons." Companies seeking to continue importing these devices into the US will need to apply for waivers, which reportedly require a detailed strategy for shifting manufacturing operations to the United States.
