This limited-edition vehicle, with only forty units slated for global production, represents a significant step forward for the South African manufacturer, moving beyond its traditional role of crafting GT40 replicas. The GT MkII is a tribute to motorsport history, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Ford's historic 1-2-3 victory at Le Mans in 1966, offering enthusiasts a sophisticated reinterpretation of an automotive icon.

For nearly three decades, Cape Advanced Vehicles has been synonymous with meticulous GT40 recreations, having built over 220 examples that have graced collections worldwide. This extensive experience forms the bedrock of the GT MkII, which, while honoring its heritage, incorporates cutting-edge advancements. The transition from replica production to a limited-run restomod supercar underscores CAV's ambition to innovate while preserving the spirit of a classic. The GT MkII's development reflects a deep understanding of its predecessor's appeal, coupled with a vision for contemporary performance and luxury.

At the heart of the GT MkII lies a formidable twin-supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine, engineered to deliver an impressive 800 horsepower at 7,800 rpm and 649 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is paired with an all-wheel-drive system, offering drivers a choice of three transmission options: a standard six-speed single-clutch semi-automatic, or optional dual-clutch and three-pedal manual gearboxes. These specifications firmly place the GT MkII within the elite category of modern supercars, boasting a rapid 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just 3.0 seconds and a top speed exceeding 204 mph, with an exhilarating 9,000 rpm redline.
