The Tenjin Business Center II, conceived by the renowned OMA, represents a significant architectural achievement in Fukuoka, Japan. This contemporary office and retail complex, finished in 2026, spans an impressive 62,720 square meters and is a testament to sustainable design and urban integration. In a bold move to redefine Fukuoka's burgeoning urban landscape, the esteemed architectural firm OMA, under the leadership of Partner In Charge Shohei Shigematsu, unveiled the Tenjin Business Center II, a cutting-edge office and retail complex. Completed in the year 2026, this impressive structure, encompassing an expansive area of 62,720 square meters, is strategically situated in Fukuoka, Japan – a city rapidly ascending as a pivotal economic gateway and a vibrant hub for innovation in Kyushu Island.

The vision behind Tenjin Business Center II was to craft more than just a commercial edifice; it was to create a symbiotic urban ecosystem. The project's design intricately weaves together diverse programmatic elements, dedicating 39,570 square meters to modern office spaces, 4,760 square meters to a dedicated 'Reboot!' area, and a substantial 5,590 square meters to dynamic retail environments. Further enhancing its functionality, 12,800 square meters are allocated for mechanical and back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless building performance.

A collaborative effort brought this architectural marvel to life. Maeda Corporation and Shun Architect Office served as the Executive Architects, alongside structural engineering prowess from Maeda Corporation and Shun Architect Office. The building's intricate MEP systems were also spearheaded by Maeda Corporation and Kraftia Corporation. The exterior boasts facades crafted by YKK Corporation, while Oryza Inc. meticulously shaped the landscape architecture. Gensler contributed their expertise to the interior design, and Lighting Planners Associate masterfully designed the illumination schemes.
